2 Days workshop on Hyper-elastic materials – Theory & Simulation

This workshop deals with Nonlinear FEM material modeling especially hyper-elastic material model; covering introduction to polymer, mechanical behaviour of polymers, hyperelastic material model, introduction to FEM, Fatigue of hyper-elastic materials, fracture of hyper-elsatic materials., Material testing, Numerical simulations. This workshop will enable the users to experience the practical simulation sessions and embedded with associated theory.

About the Workshop

For many ideally elastic materials, linear elastic models as per the Hook’s law predicts the linear material behavior.

Most common example of such kind of material is rubber, whose consecutive relationship are defined by nonlinear elastic, isotropic, incompressible, and independent of strain rate. Hyper-Elasticity is the study of material behavior which do not obeys the Hook’s law and behaves nonlinearly within elastic limit and provides constitutive relation between the stress-strain from strain energy density function. Thus, hyper-elastic idealization models are widely adopted in the industrial products which are manufactured using elastomers.

The Workshop is composed of both theory and practical’s using commercial software
