About Course

Date: 23rd and 24th January 2023
Venue: RV College of Engineering (RVCE), Bengaluru

Organized by

  • DHIO Research & Engineering Pvt Ltd., Bangalore, India
  • Centre for Hydrogen and Green Technology & Centre of Excellence in e-mobility,
    RV College of Engineering, Bangalore

Preamble:

With pressure on industries to move to zero emissions, a strong focus has been put on the research and development of hydrogen applications for decarbonization. The European Union,
and others for example, want to get to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. One way of doing this is to implement technologies such as hydrogen fuel cells to generate electricity. Green Hydrogen, where renewable energy is used to generate hydrogen from water using a process called electrolysis, is one of the main sources of carbon free energy currently being researched.

About the Workshop:

The proposed workshop aimed to focus on computational modeling and simulation of Hydrogen fuel cells from conceptual design, sensitivity analysis, Optimisation, scaling, sizing simulation associated with the heat transfer, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics models and systems. This workshop will also cover theory and practical hands-on experience of the component, subsystem, and component level of simulations. There will be a session on multiscale simulation approach demonstration associated with hydrogen fuel cell from membrane development, diffusion properties, anode – cathode reactions at nano scale to macro scale application engineering problems like battery thermal management, stack behavior and so on.
